Nice to meet everyone here I am a harmless maniac from the South East of England. I'm 18 and live with my parents and my young son. ;D

I've been diagnosed with Sjorgren's for two years. I was studying for A-level exams (English Literature, Biology, Chemistry) in school but had to leave shortly before I was diagnosed because of all the health issues. I've been started studying them again at home by correspondence and hope to complete them, but it's a bit slow going at moment I'm taking life one step at a time.

The symptoms I seem to get most problems with seem to be:

*Aching joints
*Fatigue ( Tired all the time... I love to sleep when I can :) )
* Migraine like headaches
* Sore mouth, aching jaws, mouth ulcers
* Itchy rash on face that comes and goes

I was also diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome when I was younger and still have all the stuff that comes with that, stomach aches etc. I don?t know if this related to Sjorgren?s?

Recently I?ve had constant cystitis, been on antibiotics constantly for the last 6 months. My last two cultures came back  from the lab with nothing, yet the symptoms still remain. Terrible stabbing pain in my abdomen, need to go to the toilet every ten minutes, spots of blood in urine (yikes sorry if that?s too much information!). My doctor thinks it could be interstitial cystitis which is apparently common in sjorgren?s suffers? Currently taking a dairy of when I pee and waiting to see a urologist tomorrow.

Sometimes I really envy my friends with their good health, and I?m not a jealous person by nature!

Other then that I enjoy drawing, Japanese anime and manga, video games, and collecting Super dollfie ? really big dolls around 60cm, with eyes, hair that can be change and faces that can be customized by painting.  I currently have 6! Here?s a photo of one:

Welcome to the forums, Sillypeach! Very happy to make your acquaintance.

Joe S.

Welcome to the forum. I am bothered when younger people have this or any other nasty AI disease. Along with your interest in Anime and Manga you seem to have a sense of Sci-Fi humor. Have your dolls taken your soul or are you a cat-girl? (I do Massage and Reiki at AnimeDetour in Minneapolis, MN).

Some of us have posted Dx, Rx, and supplements we are taking in our signature line. I hope that you do well on your tests. How old is your son?

I have 5 grandson that range from a few months to 11 years.

Hi Sillypeach  :)

Welcome to Sjogren's world and greetings from the far north east of England from someone considerably older than you!!

IBS and cystitis are common complaints in this room. Sjogren's seems to bear many gifts - all of them unwanted!

If you ever want to 'talk' in real time there is a hosted Sjogrensworld chat on a Wednesday evening at 7p.m. UK time. (I realise that can be an awkward time when you have a little one.)

We talk about all sorts of stuff and usually have a laugh but can be serious about SjS when required!!

I hope you find the site useful. Do make use of the search box to look up IBS and cystitis. Lots will come up!

Take care - Scottie  :)

Hi Sillypeach!

Just adding my welcome to you as well....thanks for introducing yourself to us!

I'm another person with IBS...many people have that wonderful diagnosis and I KNOW that it is NO FUN! It is one of my worst complaints along with the fatigue and brain fog! What kind of meds do you take for yours? I have been on Bentyl for quite a while and I think it helps....almost afraid to go off of it to see what will happen.  ;)

Feel free to browse the posts here for as much information as you want or need. There are many kind and knowledgeable people here from all over the world so you will also find this a comforting and safe place to vent, share feelings, have fun and make new friends!

Hi Sillypeach,

Let me also welcome you to the SJS World and family!  Please do look around the board when you can as there is a wealth of information available.  If you can't find what you're looking for, don't be shy and ask away!

I'm another one with IBS and I was diagnosed with it 20 plus years ago, and I sure know how you feel!  Has your doctor put you on any meds for it?

Hang in there and I sure hope that you start to feel better soon!

How old is your son?  I bet that he's cute as a button!

Take care of yourself -

Patze
