So doing laundry today.
stripped all the sheets off my bed, gathered up the pillow cases and started a load of 5 pillow cases and the two sheets  (one of the pillow cases from a pillow in the living room.

Sheet load into the dryer,  regular load into the washer.

Sheet load drys,   I toss it on the bed and put another load into the washer and the regular load in the dryer.   All going just fine.

Take the one pillowcase to the living room and then make my bed.   Get the sheets on, blanket, comforter all on the bed.  And then realize i only have two pillow cases  (four pillow, two pillow cases....hmm).  The other two pillow cases are gone - missing in action!

hmm   look at the bed, lift open an area or two of the blanket, but everything looks fair smooth.
Look on floor, look between bedroom and laundry room  (which is all of 5 steps apart).  Still no pillow cases.

I figure they must be somewhere,   but I really did not want to tear apart the bed to look.   So I didn't.  I got into the closet and got out two spare pillowcases.   But I can't help but wonder.....where are the pillow cases????

Ask the cats, but all 3 of them claim they have no idea where they are at.  So if anyone finds my pillow cases -- please drop me a message.

---I can understand losing socks,     but pillowcases!!!!!! ;D

Hmmmmmm . . . . sounds like the dryer was hungry if you ask me!!   ;D

Did you check the washer and make sure they aren't plastered against the drum?  I have a front loading washer and that's happened to me before.

I vote for the washer! :D  But Carolina has a good comment, they're probably caught in the corners of the fitted sheet (usually where mine wind up).

The lost pillow cases are now found!   :)

They were hiding in the fitted bed sheet.   When I headed to bed,  I took the time to search.  Noticed a shadow where the bed sheet looked just a bit darker or thicker, and sure enough there they were.

First time, I lost anything that big while doing the laundry!

Glad you found your missing pillowcases!

Carolina was right about the fitted sheets . . . good thing, as I sure would hate to have to say Patze was right.   ;)

This was a cute thread. The saga of the lost pillowcases. I thought maybe you were going to say the cats stole them. A very strange event none the less but solved before bedtime. Irish ;D

My cats are just innocent little by-standers.

Or at least that is what they say - any time i ask them :D

That also goes for the boxes or sacks that magically move from top of the kitchen counter (that they know they are not allowed on) to the floor too!   ;D

The only thing they claim they do is catch the flys in the house,   because then they want to be praised because they have protected the house.

Whopee!!! Ohiocat... :D

Remember Joy, she's not Anna. Hooray, I'm thinking normal today... no fog in sight! What a wonderful feeling!!!  ;D

Your 3 cats keep you company, right? Just as do my 3, and mine are sisters. Are yours related?

These 3 are all so different... Iris, brat and hunter... Rose, sweety pie but sneeky at times... and, Marianne, can see in her beautiful green eyes she feels like the misfit.  There were orginally 5 in the litter and Marianne was the last born.  She'll always be the baby and how would the other 4 have known this? First time I had ever seen kittens born in all my 67 years as my parents only allowed me one at  a time.

Their 10th birthday is next month! ;)  I'm keeping my fingers crossed as cats are said to only have 9 lives!! :-\

Your post means so much to me today... a common thread of interest other than our health issues.    ;)
