Nope, it missed us this trip!  We got wet, but it was the runny stuff, not the fluffy stuff!

The sale is still on, but I'm afraid everyone has so much of this blankity, blank stuff there won't be any takers.

It finally quit snowing this afternoon, and thank God the winds gave up too.  I can't believe all the snow we have received so far and now they are talking about another big one coming in next week.

When will it end?  The white out conditions yesterday due to the 40-50 mph winds (sometimes up to 70) kept most of us in our nests. :)  The county sent out warnings about the white out conditions and advised all people to stay put unless they were emergency personnel.

Didn't take much to convince me.  Just looking out the kitchen and seeing nothing but white was all I needed. :o

If anyone needs me, I'll be in by the fireplace knitting.  Until Spring really pops up I will be content to stay put.  FedX just delivered another supply of knitting yarn so I'm all set. ;D

Take care everyone, PLEASE, let's all be careful and try to laugh about this,

Hugs, Pooh

Glad to hear that Fed Ex was able to make it to your house to get your yarn to you....now you have plenty to keep you busy for a while longer!  ;)

It is official now.  For Columbus, Ohio, this was the snowest february on record.   The last record was in 1910 and with our latest few inches of snow, we have broken that all time record.

Happy february every one -   I can barely wait for March (and for spring).

hate to mention this, but ... I am seeing some very small strips of green in my yard. Most of my yard has 15 inches of snow and the banks are still over 3 feet of hard pack.

Joe, the only places we can see green grass is around the pine trees in the back yard.  From the grassy parts it swells into 3-4 foot drifts all across the yard.

The squirrels are now walking up to the bird feeders and jumping up about 10 inches to get to them.  Even the birds don't have to fly in, they just hop from the drifts to the feeders.

It's been snowing off and on for the past 3 days.  It doesn't seem to accumulate much, it's just enough to make you wonder if it's going to flurry or really lay it down.

COME ON SPRING!!!! PLEASE!!!!

Seeing mostly green of the grass now, but there are a lot of tree branches down, makes parking a bit interesting.

Hi Friends . . . .

Remember back to February when we had all that snow?  Lots and lots of snow!!  :o  Snow, snow and more snow!!!

Bet you wouldn't mind a little bit of the white fluff about now as our temperature here today in Central Illinois is 92 degrees - with a heat index of 107!!   :o   :o  Ugh!

In another thread a while back they talked about which season us Sjoggies handled better. Well, I don't like all the heat and I don't like all the cold.   ::)

I've mentioned this before in different threads, I don't remember all the year-round extreme weather like we've had the last few years.  It seems any more, it is just one continuous weather making extreme month after month . . . . snow, rain, floods, wind, earthquakes, heat, etc.

I'm hibernating inside today.

Here in WV we have had many days in the 90's this year. Today is expected to reach 94. Last week we had 97. I personally like the summer heat the best. when cold comes I ache all over. Summer is the best for this Sjoggy. White stuff can stay away forever as far as I am concerned!!

hugs to all harlin
