My daughter has a new job!!! Not only a "job' but a good one with good pay and benefits.  They can even bring their dog to work if they have one and keep it in the "dog pen."  We live in Michigan where there are NO JOBS.  We all feel most thankful for her good fortune.  It was worth the wai.  Lucy

Oh Lucy that is the best news. I know that MI is really in dire straits as my friends fill me in on this. So glad that this came about. Really some trying times we live in. Makes us thankful for the small things. irish ;D

It's a manufacturing job and its product is spices.  They process spices from the raw material to the final packaging whether it's liquiid, powder etc.
The pay is excellent, in fact I'm telling her I'm ordering a "Lincoln" car.  My daughter has been way out on her own for a long time and I won't need tosee any of her money.  (I keep adding up her pay in my calculator and she has worked 4 hours overtime today plus will work Sat and Sun.)   This is a physically tough job and she had to pass physical where she can lift $50 lbs, but she is young comparatively (to me) and will be able to do it.  I need to get the calculator out again.  and grin.  and add, and grin.

Lucy, you grin girl :) It's wonderful to share your good news.

My daughter worked one 12 hour day this week and is also working Saturday at time and one-half and Sunday at double time.  I'd better try get her to ease it a little as she is Type I diabetic and I'm afraid this will throw her off.  Not working for so long and then boom......working 14 days straight.

I want to see her check.  lol
