I doubt I've said anything here about applying for social security disability, mostly because I can't accept I'm truly disabled. Any way, I went in to the hearing with an attorney and the judge asked an expert witness MD, hired by her office about my case. He read a list of diagnoses and when asked about his opinion said I met the criteria under section ### which were Sever fatigue, malaise and fever. He also said I equaled the criteria under several other sections, the judge asked if I understood I said yes and out I walked with my ssd.

The judge said I'd get the written finding in two weeks and the attorney said they would represent me until the money started coming in. My attorney also said she had never seen it go so easy at a hearing.

I used a firm I found on the internet, Myler out of Utah, I live in Washington and my attorney flew in for the hearing. I really expected them to just have a local attorney to show up for the hearing. I was very passive and uninvolved from the very beginning of the process, I didn't return half the forms my attorney wanted, never got any doctors letters and barely updated my medical histories. The whole process took 26 months.

I am 48 have a BA in psychology. My diagnoses are SPSS, Sleep Apnea, Narcolepsy, Peripheral Neuropathy, Two crushed vertebrae, a ruptured disk and a protruding disk with nerve impairments, Chronic Migraine, Depression, Anxiety and what ever else I forgot to put down because of brain fog.

What a big relief to get that stress out of the way, now I can deal with a few more stresses before I schedule an open lung biopsy so I can know for sure what is causing my interstitial lung disease.

So glad that you were successful in your quest for SSDI.I can only imagine how difficult it must've been for you to admit to yourself that you were unable to continue working.  So much of our identity is tied to our careers and to give up that part of our lives is a major adjustment.

Good luck in the next phase....

Congratulations!!!  I know it's hard to have to admit you are disabled, especially at such a young age, but just because you can't be holding a full time job doesn't mean you won't be productive in whatever your body allows you to do.  We all have our purposes in life, so hang in there, get yourself as well as you can be and do what you can!
What a weight must be lifted off you!  ;D

Gosh, I only hope mine goes that smoothly.
