Can I take Pred without weight gain?

Hi Janna Lee,

I take 5 mg. of prednisone sometimes 10 mg. and I did gain weight. I started taking it around the Holidays last year so that sure didn't help. I've never weighed more than 141 and I got up to 148. I started on a gluten free diet (not for weight loss but to feel better) and in three months lost 16 lbs.

I'm a little more active now also since it's getting warmer outside so that also helps. Also had gone off my Lexapro because of the cost so my depression was worse - so let's just eat more!

5 mg. is a low dose so I don't think you should worry too much.
