To All My Fellow Brain Fog Sjoggies ~

Poochie

It must something in the wind. ;D  I just came across this in my e-mail folder and thought some of newbies and oldies would get a kick out of it.

My forgetter's getting better,
But my rememberer is broke
To you that may seem funny
But, to me, that is no joke

For when I'm "here" I'm wondering
If I really should be "there"
And, when I try to think it through,
I haven't got a prayer!

Oft times I walk into a room,
Say "what am I here for?"
I wrack my brain, but all in vain!
A zero, is my score.

At times I put something away
Where it is safe, but, Gee!
The person it is safest from
Is, generally, me!

When shopping I may see someone,
Say! "Hi" and have a chat,
Then, when the person walks away
I ask myself, "who was that?"

Yes, my forgetter's getting better
While my rememberer is broke,
And it's driving me plumb crazy
And that isn't any joke.

Enjoy!  Pooh

Amen to this one!!!

In fact, just a few minutes ago I could relate to this very well.  I've been washing up dishes, cupboard fronts, counters, etc. in the kitchen today.  I put a CD on to listen to while I'm working.   Finished up and wanted to put the CD away.  Hmmmm, where is the case it goes in??  I know I had it.  I remember putting it on top of the grates on the stove.  Nope, not there.  Hmmmm, thought of Sassie and checked inside the refrigerator - nope, no CD.   :D  Checked the pantry.  Nope.  Went and checked all the places I have been in or near within the last hour.  Nothing.  I know it did not grow legs and walk away!!   ::)  I am the only one home, so I can't blame it on anyone else.

Hmmmm . . . . . . oh yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh . . . . I set it on the snack bar chair as I was cleaning the counters by the stove.  Now I remember!!   ;D  Walla . . . there is it!!   ;D

I play hide and seek quite often in my house!!  Unfortunately, it's not as fun as it used to be.  LOL

Thanks Pooh.

I like your hide and seek term, Bucky....I will remember that and it will no doubt uplift me....too funny!!  It will help me for a while :) YEAH a new tool ;D  This happens to me more times than I want to admit even to myself..can't get enough humor in my life today.....LOL...when my spouse asks, "what are you looking for?" I can say I am not looking for anything, I am playing hide and seek w/my (fill in the blank).  He likes a little humor too!!!
THANKS Bucky

Pooh,
I remember this one and yes...it is VERY appropriate for me as well!

"My forgetter's getting better,
But my rememberer is broke"

This is so true...its scary! At least we can all be in this together!

Bucky,

I also like the idea of playing "Hide and Go Seek" instead of losing things...but I don't like playing it as often as I do lately!  ;D
