Sarah, may I suggest researching your area for a Neuro-opthalmologist or Opthalmologist who specialises in retinal issues to have them check you out. Floaters are one thing - most of us have them at one time or another, however, any clouding/ hazy vision or flashes of light should be checked out.  Don't let any physician rush you or make you feel that they have no time to answer any concerns or questions......I saw x3 Neuro-opthalmologists for the excruiciating pain in my eyes over 1+1/2 years and believe it or not, they never did check me for dry eyes.....just told me they couldn't find anything wrong.....#4 Neuro was the charm and plugs in the tear ducts and lubricant really helps. Evoxac (per my rheumatologist) should also at some point help my eyes.

Thanks, buckiii  - I will definitely look into finding another Opthamologist. It's all new to me - I didn't have any experience with eye doctors before, or personal recommendations, just went with the referral from my doctor for an office near me. I am hoping to move to a much bigger city in the next several months, where hopefully specialized, quality care will be easier to find. But in the meantime I will definitely put in some more time researching what I can find around here, and getting some second opinions...
