Now that November is here, it's time to think about getting and staying warm.  My favourite at the moment is a lovely hot spiced apple drink.  A pinch each of nutmeg and cinammon, apple juice concentrate and hot water.  It's like mulled wine, only without the wine!

What's your favourite way of warming up?

Hi Ailsa

I have to be out and about with the horses and dogs, whatever the weather.  I am 100% sure that wearing a hat (despite me not suiting hats  ::)), makes a huge difference to my comfort.  That and good gloves.  I have gloves called "sealskin".  They are a special knitted yarn and really clever - I can put my hands into the horses water trough, say to break the ice, and my hands remain dry - incredible and invaluable when you have Raynaud's.

I also have fleecy lined boots for frosty days, as my feet can get really cold.

On returning to the house, I like to have one of those instant, low calorie, chocolate drinks.  I might sneak a brandy in there if I'm extra cold  ;D   xx
