Hi Everyone
I had my first infusion of tocilizumab on December 15th.  The Doctor wasn't sure if they were going to give it to me because I had a bit of a cold.  But they went ahead,  I noticed if really helped with the fatigue.  Of course now my cold turned to bronchitis so I had to see my family Doctor on Friday.  I have been coughing so much that it feels like my throat is tearing apart.   But I am feeling better today.
I am looking forward to my next infusion on January 11th.
We got a big snow here yesterday and it is so pretty outside,  Happy Holidays all!

Glad it helped you!!!    I've never heard of this med but I am relatively new to SJS. I'm not on any medication for SJS but my worse has been lotsa teeth cavities and some mild fatigue flares.   Dang- sorry your cold turned in bronchitis! It is so easy for us Soggies to "get stuff".  I get another CT in February for a lung spot they are curious about. We all definitely get monitored good.

I'm in eastern Iowa and we got 14 inches of snow the 8th and it is pretty much still on the ground. Snowing now but lightly and looks pretty. "Especially since I don't have to shovel it!"  Soooo glad not on the east coast!!!!

I just have to ask about the "48cats" part. LOL I volunteer for a group here that helps elderly disabled low income folks keep their companion pet. I have kitties of my own but nowhere near 48!  :D  Only 5 little furry souls in cat suits is enough for me.  Pisces24 is due to my being born on Feb 24th.

Happy Holidays to you too. May you have a relaxing one.

Hi Jules,

That is good news indeed!!!!  And I'm glad to see that you're feeling a bit better; now to get rid of that pesky bronchitis!

Take care -

Hello All
I had a wonderful family Christmas this year.  I hope you all had a great holiday.
Pisces 24, I am a Pisces also.  March 16th.  I have 4 cats and 1 kitten soon to be a cat.  Jules48cats came to be because I was 48 when I first learned how to use a computer and I like cats.
What a good cause that you are working for.   Elderly people really need the comfort of their little furry friends and they can be very expensive to keep.    Good luck with the CT scan, I will say a little prayer for you.   My husband has relatives in Iowa.
I am still feeling energy from the infusion, and am starting to feel more normal.  Looking forward to the next one in January.  Bronchitis is almost cleared up.  The snow has all melted but we are looking for more around New Years day.
Well Happy New Year all, hope it is better for us all than the last few.
Jules
