Title: Newbie
Post by: mom2boys on August 25, 2009, 05:55:25 PM
Hello Everyone~
Thank you to everyone for sharing on this site.  I have been helped so much from your stories.  I was diagnosed with primary Sjogren's last year and have had mostly joint pain, fatigue and some dry eye.  Not too bad, but sometimes the fatigue really hits you.  I'm 41 and my rheumy thinks I may have had my first flare in my early 30s.

Hey Mom2boys,

Welcome! Welcome! Welcome to Sjogrens World!

Yeah! The fatigue is horrible for most of us! Though some seem to escape this aspect of the journey on the road with SJS!

For me fatigue, brain fog, painful joints and muscles are the worst as of late.

This latest flare started with a month long visit from my then two year old grand daughter, I thought that child was going to kill me for sure.

Everyday of that last two weeks especially, I thought for sure with every step I took I was just one more step from seeing my maker! ???  ::) ;D

That was June and I am just now fully recovering, let's say a week ago I felt like "O,K. it's finally over!"

Look forward to getting to know you!
Bernice

mom2boys,

So glad we have given you some encouragements.

I am sure in your tour thru our forum here, you have discovered, that though we have SJS in common, there is varying differences .

We all have flares from time to time involving different characteristics of issues with SJS. At different levels of intensity.

Welcome and please make yourself at home.

blessings kimbo

Hi mom2boys,

Let me also welcome you to the SJS World!  Please do continue to peruse the board as you'll always find a bit of information that you didn't know before.  And Linda has a very good point, bring an extra large drink of your choice as once you log in, you'll be hanging out longer than you think - I know I sure do and enjoy it all (this is one of the friendliest boards that you'll find)!

Again, welcome and I hope to chat with you soon -

Patze

Patz,
I don't keep it open all day, I switch between tabs from time to time. I'm in office by myself, so as long as I get my job and a little more done I don't feel too bad. ;) :D

Thank you everyone for such a warm welcome!  I've been in a bit of a flare lately and feeling a little down about this "disease".  I'm used to doing a lot and the fatigue has been tough for me.  Plus it just makes me feel OLD.
