Bucky, you would love this thing I bought myself today at Pier One. When I first saw it, I thought, "what in the world would you use that for?". So of course I fell in love it and before I left the store I went around and picked it up and paid for it.
It's a heavy black wire dressmakers mannequin about 18 inches high. I finally realized you can use it on your dresser for necklaces, bracelets and other jewelry. ;D It is so cool. I don't know about you, but I hang my jewelry off any knob or hook that comes in handy. This is perfect for everything. You can hang your bracelets through her skirt and hang necklaces off the curled ends around the armholes and the neck. Also just around the neck.
I walked in the door and carried it right through to the bedroom and started moving stuff and collecting jewelry and before long "she" was full of "bling". :D You can even hang earrings off the skirt. I LOVE IT!
YES, I spent to much on it. $19.95, but it was sooooooo.... worth it. ;D
I had a lovely day today, I hope everyone did.
Hugs, Pooh
If it made you smile (which is sounds like it did) then it was worth the price. ;D
At least that how I like to look at things!
Pooh,
Your mannequin jewelry lady does sound really cool! ;D I think I've seen a picture of something like that on E-bay. Can I borrow "her" for my next garage sale to hang my costume jewelry off of?? LOL
I agree with Ohiocat . . if it makes you happy ;D - then it's well worth the money spent.
Isn't it fun to find things you don't normally see everyday in the stores?? I can just picture in my mind you finding this treasure . . . walking on looking at other things in the store, then making a beeline back to pick up your found treasure and head to the checkouts. ;D
Enjoy!!!
Hugs,
Bucky
Pooh,
That sounds so neat!!! Guess I'll have to visit Pier One too this week end! I love their floor pillows, have a ton of them.
Patze
Pooh,
I Luv the thought of all your bling hanging on your new lamp/mannequin. Good for you.
Input output, though your husband might ask you to dump a bear. :)
kimbo
:D :D I don't think he will Kimbo, he purchased most of them for me. He gets a kick out of seeing my face when they come.
Between him, friends and kids, I am up to my ears in bears. But they are such a happy lot, who can get rid of them. I've been clearing out my sewing room so I can put up shelves to display them. I can work around them or with them ;D, they make me happy.
I had to laugh at the one my daughter brought me from Hawaii. It was a Hula Bear, but quess where it was made..........right here in PA. Sort of like carrying coals to New Castle. :D :D
Have a great week,
Hugs, Pooh
Pooh,
Sounds like you found a great treasure! I'm glad that it made you so happy!
Hey Pooh,
I embroider when I can, and I have a family of bears I did when kidlet was very young - shall I send that to you to add to your bearalicious collection (it's about 8"x12" or so)? :D ;D
Patze
Poochie, Sounds like you had a great day and a great buy. Remember that anything under $20 (excluding tax) does not count. Irish ;D
Thanks Patz, but I'm trying to find a few good homes for some of my overstock as it is. But thanks anyway. ;D
Irish, I know it was unneccessary but it was just something I wanted and I had my own money. ;D I always think a couple times if it's something that has to go on the debit card. Social Security only goes so far. ::)
Hugs, Pooh
No worries Ms. Pooh! ;) :) :D ;D
