This weekend we are hosting a family reunion/birthday party for my husband. The party will be in a park not too far from our house. We will have guests staying overnight for a couple of nights. Only a couple because of our small house.
I am trying to get our house in some sort of order--and hubby is a BIG help and does most of the work. I have at least gotten off the couch for a period of time the past few days. Doc gave me some new pills because i apparently have Fibromyalgia too, after my last exam. I sent out 44 invitations, also several verbal ones since the others were not RSVPing. This is family and they are out of town and we barely heard from 25% of them. I know I overbought on some things and still have to guess on others.
We are even having a 2 man band (friend of hubby's) that will cost us a couple of hundred bucks. I am not sorry if his relatives don't show because our neighbors, my hairdresser, personal friends will all be attending a family reunion. I'll report later on how (I) things go. Lucy
Have fun....just try and pace yourself.
Take Care,
Vicky
Hey Lucy that does sound like so much FUN!!!! ;D Go for it, and like Victoria said, take it easy, but don't forget to take a ton of pictures!

Hi Lucy - hope you have a ball! Make sure you take photos or videos! I agree with above - pace yourself. Do let us know how it goes. :)
Hi Lucy
Hope you have a wonderful time. Where's our lear jet just now? I'm sure we could round up a few extra Sjoggie pals for your party ;D
Enjoy!

Lucy, Ohhh, That sounds like so much fun. Hope that you have good weather and great fun. Those who don't come---it is their loss!!Irish ;D
Oh my, I had to take a rest day before I really got into it. I also cancelled some fancy tests at my eye drs today. I'll do that after all this stuff is over. I did shift into high gear about 5pm and did some laundry and light cleaning. What else is there besides "light" cleaning. Now making a list for stuff I still need.
The weather was supposed to be about 80 and now is expected to be about 70ish. For Michigan, anything over 60 is a wonderful day. I will only have bro and sis and law staying here. Will likely have an old fashioned bonfire out back after the day is over. In the meantime, something bit me all over today.
Grrrrrrrrrrr. A little spray and I'll be good as new. Will keep y'all posted. I've done a "guess" count of 35-50 people. Will be interesting to know how close I come to the clods who don't RSVP. Lucy
P.S. I wearing black capris and black shirt with white trim. I've seen enough of them "fat pictures" when I wish I'd have worn something a little darker. See, I'm getting smart in my old age. ;D
