Hiya folks,
I've made it to another birthday and would like to request a gift from YOU!
I raised nearly $200 (with the help of a dear friend!!!!) for the USA Sjogren's Syndrome Foundation - next is for Sjogren's World of course (going to request gifts be donated here).
Please gift me your favorite quotation from and author, book, relative, friend, or movie?
I just love this one - as it applies to Sjogren's World!
"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."
Helen Keller
Love to you,
P
Hi - I'm stealing a quote from another member who used to have it in her signature. Rania said "If life gives you lemons - make lemonade!"
Great birth day Idea! Dollie.
I have heard a lot of great quotes of Helen Keller's life.
My favorite; from God, in his great book the Bible.
Love never fails.
Not only a quote, but a promise.
Happy birth day Dollie! Oh oh next BD is 40. ;D
Hugs, kimbo
One of my all time favorites, is by Rev. Billie Graham,
"May your troubles be less, your blessings more and may nothing but happiness come through your door".
Then Sleepy posted another by Mary Anne Radmacher last week "Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."
I bought the book that this was from, and I love it. It gives you so much more of what courage is. I hope you all will try to read some of it. You can access it by Googling "Courage doesn't always roar". It's just a small inspirational book, not to big and something to cherish.
Hugs, Pooh
Happy Birthday Paperdoll! :)
I heard this once and never forgot it:
"The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." -Nelson Mandela
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!
Oh my....favorite sayings....there are so many....but here are just a few.......
"Life may not be the party we hoped for... but while we are here we might as well dance!"
"A little consideration, a little thought for others, makes all the difference." - Pooh's Little Instruction Book
"Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle."
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely, in a pretty and well preserved body; but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, Wow ---- What a ride!!!"
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPERDOLL!!

How come there was no cake the other night in chat??? LOL
Lynnmarie - I've heard that last quote you wrote down . . . I really like that one!! ;D
I recently got this book by the late Dr. Richard Carlson ("Don't Sweat The Small Stuff . . . and it's all small stuff" - the following are "chapters" in the book:
"Be aware of the snowball effect of your thinking"
"Don't interrupt others or finish their sentences"
"Become aware of your moods and don't allow yourself to be fooled by the low ones"
"Remember that you become what you practice most"
"Do a favor and don't ask for, or expect, one in return"
"Remember, one hundred years from now, all new people"
Bucky
Oh Buckey,
I loved all of those!!
And Lyn I love the Idea of sliding in at a broad slide totally etc... and shouting WOW what a ride. Makes me smile.
Bucky LOL at the thought of all new people 100 years from now.
Hey Doll I am enjoying your BD party.
