I am in desperate need of some popsicles right now!!! I've caught a cold bug from my hubby and my throat hurts so much today. :(
Does anyone have any suggestions for easing a really sore throat? This is my first experience with a Sjogren's cold. Let me tell you, I DON'T like it!!!! Guess I'll go gargle with some warm salt water and then change my clothes and head to the grocery store in a quest for popsicles (sorry Lucy, I'm impatient . . . LOL).

I'm sorry to hear your husband has been sharing with you. Tell him from me, he's far too generous ;) ;) When my throat is sore I find cold yoghurt very soothing.

Awww Bucky, I am real sorry to hear that you have a cold. I use Halls throat drops or Halls sugar free Vitamin C drops when my throat hurts. Of course the old stand by, Sucrets can help too.
I found these great popsicles. They are Lifesaver sugar free and they are yummy. There are five great flavors but they are stacked on top if each other on one popsicle. Very yummy and they make my dry throat feel good.
I hope you start feeling better. Colds are so miserable and summer colds are especially nasty. Be sure to rest and take good care of yourself. Don't make me bring the jet up there. That's right, I have custody of it this week. ;D ;D

Aww Bucky, there is nothing worse than a sore throat and a summer cold. Yuck, Yuck, Yuck!!
Take care, drink lots of liquids, get some Vit. C in you, and enjoy those popsicles. Even without a sore throat and cold, I live on the Weight Watchers Giant Latte ones. I get my coffee and popsicle all in one. :D

QT, I'm a little better thanks, my throat doesn't hurt AS bad today. Today I "sound" like I have a cold - the deep, husky voice. Went outside and mowed the grass for two hours today - don't feel any worse doing that than if I just sit around inside. At least the grass looks good. ;D
This is just going to have to run it's course . . . yippee zippy. ::)

I'll never tell, lol. All that matters is that I have it this week, but I am willing to share. ;D Hurry before hubby takes off for parts unknown to avoid his knee surgery. Although I will say, it is not good with take out windows and it's hard to park at the doc's office, so maybe I should pass it on to one of you next week.

Hope you're beginning to feel better. Summer colds are so miserable, but at least you have a good choice of popsicles (are they ice lollies in UK speak?).
I'm about to have two weeks between types of chemo so I can (finally) spend time with sick friends. So if you need a hug then I'm your woman!

Sorry to hear your with a cold. That sore throat thing is miserable, I hope you got past that.
My remedy for everything, is ice cream and Hershey's syrup. I take it every day for medicinal purposes. Makes me feel better. ;)
Although at 10:30 tonite I ask my husband to take me to the sonic for a hot fudge sundae, and he did of course. I feel better already. If you came over I would take you and have another. :) And we could feel even better together. ;D

Kimbo . . . ice cream??!! ;D I love ice cream!! A few years back I thought it would be so cool to drive an ice cream truck around the subdivisions. ;D Who could resist an ice cream truck?? (I know we didn't when my sister and I lived in Mesa, AZ . . . we ran when we heard the music!! ;D . . . and we were in our 20's!! LOL). I figured with insurance and all the costs that it would be too much. Although, I did see that places will hire you to operate their trucks . . . hmmmmmm.
I think my cold has moved on :D . . . the only lingering part of it is that crazy cough . . which tends to hang on. :(

I remember when I was little the ice cream trucks played music going down the streets by my grandmas house in Chicago....they always had good soft serve ice cream! Then as I was growing up in the suburbs....we had the Good Humor Ice Cream truck go down the street and ring the bells on the truck to let us know to come out and get an ice cream bar! I haven't seen an ice cream truck for ages....didn't know they still had them and thought they were a thing of the past!
Last nite at the fireworks display we attended near by, an ice cream truck came by , and I thought of you.
I love the music they play. AWWW Music to my ears.

Poor Patze . . . . as you know, the truck load of popsicles never arrived . . however, I have some left in the box I bought . . do you want red, orange or purple?? They really do feel good on a sore throat.
Kimbo . . . IF the truck arrives here tonight or tomorrow, it should be ok outside as it feels like fall here!! We were in the low 60's today with 15-19 mph winds. We're suppose to get down to 52 degrees tonight, 50 degrees tomorrow night. Feels like football weather!! I realize this is not "freezer" temps for popsicles . . . but it's still cool. Maybe at least half the truck will still be eatable! ;D

LOL) are yours . . . come and get 'em!! :D Sure, you can come visit - but, you have to come TODAY as the temps are going to start climbing back up this week. You will get to IL before you get to AR and you will be eating your purple popsicles . . . Kimbo, do you think you can scrape up the trail and refreeze it so you can enjoy some too?? LOL
My fav. flavor is cherry. ;D Quiger was telling me about some Lifesaver popsicles that have a bunch of flavors on one pop - haven't tried those yet, she loves 'em.
