This happens to me in the shower too.  The itching is the worst.

I also get the itchy, prickly, burning skin after showering.  It is worse at times than others.  Tried different soaps and all, but just must be part of this darn SJS and Lupus.

It is probably a neuropathy caused by the water stimulating the sensory nerves. Also, have any of you had hives from a shower. My hubby had this and didn't know what it was for years. Seems there is a condition that dermatologists see where hives occurr from showers. Also, the itching. All of a sudden my hubby's quit and we did not know what he did different. Irish ;D

I get itchy hives horrible after showering, and when I get sweaty also. I'm on doxycyclene for my rosacea, and I've found it helps to lessen it some. Also helps my eyes just a bit also. I know it's an antibiotic, but they said it was also anti inflammatory. Don't know why it helps my hives, they don't go away by any means, but not AS bad.

If there is a temperature difference (very cold water on a very hot day), I get the itching part, but not the burning.

I always itch after a shower.  I thought it was due to dry skin, so I always use body lotion afterwards.  Sometimes it itches so bad I could make my skin bleed, but I force myself to ignore it  ;)  xx
