Title: Saw the GP
Post by: ruby52 on June 15, 2009, 11:06:09 AM
He put me back on HRT to make the flashes tolerable.Back on the Nexium and no lecture about taking myself off Paxil.I don't feel depressed and it made me even more tired.Come Fall we'll see where my pain levels and mood are and I would go back on it until Spring again.I'm glad he listened and let me have input in my quality of life.I see the Rheumy next and hope she'll be just as responsive as GP was.It really helps to have a little control.

Great Ruby  !!!!!!!!   Yes, it is such a nice feeling when our docs treat us with respect, hear what we are saying or asking for, and treat us as intelligent adults !

So happy to hear you are being treated as a partner in this healing process.  I've been fortunate to have a great rheumy who takes as much time with me on my appts. as I need.

It doesn't take our pain away, but just knowing that we are considered intelligent (as Shari mentioned) enough to share in our treatment is such a help.

Good luck dear and I hope you and your doctor get you to being comfortable in life.

Hugs, Pooh

Great news Ruby!

I agree...I'm glad that you found a doctor to listen to you and treat you with a little respect and understanding....they are out there!
