Title: New Flare every week??
Post by: DesignerS on June 09, 2009, 10:08:40 AM
Is that even possible?  Every single week I wake up one morning with a fever and so much pain I cannot move.  Also, I have been having achy lungs and uncomfortable bladder for 3 months now.  I suppose this could all just be frequent flares, but the lungs and bladder concern me.  Has anyone ever had these symtoms, and flares so close together?

Thanks

No, I haven't. Could be any number of triggers causing this. I may be time to contact either your PCP or your rheumy about it, since this has been happeningfor about 3 months now. I pray that you start to feel better soon.

That sounds pretty rough. I'm wondering, have you been tested for Lupus? The weekly fevers and chest pain kinda sound like it, but I'm certainly not a doctor.

You might want to discuss it with you Rheumy.

Hope you feel better.

Hi Designer

I have been having lung and bladder problems for the last couple of months. In fact I'm on my 5th antiobiotic  (and thrussh treatment) in that time - 3 were for the bladder and two for the lungs. A complicating factor is that I have just had prolapse surgery, so I suppose that could have caused the bladder issues, but then again, it could be a coincidence. I also have a diagnosis of bronchiectasis, but that has been controlled with inhalers for a couple of years.

Anyway, just thought I would add my two penn'orth.

I have been having the same problems since November. I have been in one big flair. It started with my lungs, I have had that 4 times now, and has hit my internal organs. I'm in a flair now. I am so sick of it. I feel for you and know exactly how you feel. Just remember to run a humidifier all of the time to keep moisture in your house.
Take care! you are not alone!

Well, I am so sorry to hear that some of you are having the same difficulties.  This just stinks.  I called my regular dr. with the symptoms, and although the nurse was quite concerned, I haven't heard back from them.  I don't think he knows what to do.  My rheum. dr. has run blood tests again.  The RA factor is positive, the sed rate is up, he truly believes I have SjS, lichen planus, and a few different forms of arthritis including the spine.
I guess before I blanketed all of these symptoms with SjS, I wanted a different perspective on it.  The Rheum. dr. always, obviously, looks at the autoimmune.  But I am concerned if there is something else going on.  I will certainly let you all know if I find anything out.
I will say it again, this stinks!   :P  I just found out I will be a Grandma, due on Christmas day.  I just wonder, like everyone else on this board, how many "good" days will I have.  How many times will I have to say NO to my grandbaby because I just cannot do it that day.
Sorry for the negative attitude.  Just a little scared right now  ::)

Love you guys, you are all the greatest.

Designer,
Congrats on the Grandbaby! Don't worry, I wonder that too. We just have to take one day at a time. I think it will help if your child (the baby's parent) calls you to see how you feel that day if they want you to do something with the baby. Sometimes I wonder if I will be able to hold mine when they come.
Don't worry about being negative. We all have our days. I have been having quite a few lately. Don't hold it in, get it out of your system so you feel better.
Good luck to you and I hope you feel better soon. Tomorrow is another day!

Awwwww, Designer, congratulations on that splendid news !  Christmas Day too.

I fully understand your negative attitude, which I hope that you can get some positive answers to soon!!

I was always so negative about all my grandchildren that came along, as I was paranoid that they would end up with this stink too !!

It's a way of life dealing with every day events, and wondering if one can stand the pace of it..

Like ..  we are attending a big wedding do in July and I have been so uppity about it , worrying about this and that..

At the end of the day tho' I just know that I will get it over with when it comes around!
Prayers for you and all those who are suffering same.. Hugs Dolly x
