Okay, well as you all know I have had sjogrens for over 2 years now. Well this past week has been heck for me. All of my salivary/parotid glands are swollen, swollen lymph nodes, nausea, and horrible pain. I woke up one morning and my hand joints...kinda near the thumb were HUGS and so were my knuckles! Painful and the swelling is still there. Also some swelling in ankles, feet, and knees....Joint pain in all those places plus hips and shoulders and elbows! I cant believe it! This has never happened before! I do have more dryness as well.....I know I have Sjogrens but do I possibily now have rheumitoid arthritis? Got bloodwork back from last week with elevated CRP and high liver enzymes. What do yall think?

Well, it could certainly be RA, but it could also, and probably is our mutual friend Sjs. I have horrible joints- Fingers and feet swollen and so, so painful. And the blood tests were very clear, as was my Rheumy, that it's Sjs.
It sounds like you're having a nightmare of a flare. If you can, you might want to call your Rheumy tomorrow and see if maybe some Pred might help bring this monster down.

I totally agree with Heather. Please do try to see someone as soon as possible to try to get this under control. I'm sorry you're having such a rough time.
