I want to whine about the weather. I'm sure most of you can relate. Spring is just never coming to Michigan. We had two nice days about 70 degrees, then plunk a 20+ degree drop in temperature and rain. It is supposed to rain for the next three days. We actually can use some rain. I know others have a drought going. The night temps will be down in the 30's so it's too early to plant any flowers. At least for me. I rarely do this, and when I do, I make sure all chances of frost are gone.
It's almost May and we've had just the worst winter ever. The longest, too. I remember last spring and it seemed that summer didn't arrive until June. Looks like a late spring/summer again? We could even get snow this week with temps in the 30's. lol. Hubby's birthday is May 2 and we've had snow on his birthday. Stay warm and dry everyone. Lucy

Everybody here is excited about Spring being here. Me, I just wish we had just Winter and Summer.
When it is wet, warm and cool I get allergy problems. :'( Least that is what my gp has told me. Right now my gp is seeing tons of patients with allergy problems so I am not alone with them, but that is no consolation.
Summer can't get here too early for me. I am in Eastern Iowa. :)
I guess the grass is always greener on the other side. Summer in California is on its way and I'm not sure I can survive another hot summer. It seems to never end and I look forward to winter. My body just does not know how to process heat and all my autonomic systems go haywire!

I'm so ready for Spring here in Ohio I can hardly stand it and yes I have terrible allergies too.I keep wanting to plant herbs,flowers,veg. but it's to early.We did yard work all weekend.I wasn't much help on sat. every two seconds I had to rest but yesterday was a little better and I rested when it was done.Coming weekend will be warm and I don't think I can hold back any longer.I want color darn it!

It seems like for every couple of warm days it is followed by a week of cooler temps and rain. Can't wait for the warm weather but am apprehensive about the symptoms that I am reading that may come with the higher temps. Can't ever get warm in the winter now may face problems related to Sjogren's in the summer. Roxanne

We had weather here today a bit above 80 degrees. The last time we had a temperature above 80 degrees was September 3, 2008. Now, I must say that is just a few days short of 8 months. I knew it had been a long winter. (We haven't had but a few days in the 60's or 70's.) I have been freezing since last September. Lucy
Hi Lucy, Where in Michigan do you live? My fiance just moved from Kalkaska MI in Feb to be with me in all places New Jersey(LOL) It is suppose to be 88 today and 91 tomorrow. We had a snow storm in March got 10 inches he just laughed at me and said you dont know what a snowstorm is. Lots of love Jonnell and Jenna
I'm in Northern MN and got 3 inches of snow last night. Everything is white today except for the roads.

But I have to agree with others about summer. We do not have air conditioning and the heat just kills me! I'm hoping for mild temps this year!

I'm in Deer River which is north of Grand Rapids (MN). We are about 250 miles due north of Minneapolis/St. Paul.
Kalkaska is about 600 miles from me.
Here in the UK we have had a sort of Spring weather recently, and everyone has been going about practically in the nude! Low cut tops and short skirts, no tights and me? not me Ive still got my roll neck jumpers on and fleece trousers. This coldness I feel is starting to really get me down.. It's so weird that I feel like some sort of Alien, worse ... my OH just doesen't get it, and proceeds to open doors , windows , air vents and all, while I sit huddled in the armchair feeling wretched!! I live in Kalamazoo, Mich. Kalkaska is in Michigan also......about 150 miles away.
I think maybe some were getting MN (Minnesota) confused with Michigan. Both states are quite cold.
In Michigan today temps were to be warm, in the area of 80 degrees, but we're having bad thunderstorms on and off so the day isn't good for anything outside. Friends were going to spend the weekend at their camper trailer, but I'll bet they headed home.
To add to the confusion here about MN (Minnesota) and MI (Michigan), I see someone wrote about Grand Rapids, MN and there is also a Grand Rapids, MI. I live 45 mi south of Grand Rapids, MI. This is too funny. I think there is only one Kalkaska though and we go through this burg when we go up north. I'm not sure if it has more than one traffic light. No wonder the fiance wanted to move to New Jersey. Or anywhere. Lucy

Navydad....I'm in the same boat as you with the weather. We had hot weather for a couple of days a while back and I was starting to feel sick again and my body wasn't processing the heat. Although its only in my big toes right now I have no feeling in them. Dude..you're not alone there.
