Title: Every cold turns into chronic cough - sjs?
Post by: lelole on April 09, 2009, 03:39:49 PM
Hi, am under investigation for sjs. But me and rheumy pretty sure I have it...

Have had a cold the last couple of days, and as usual (or at least what has become usual) it has gone straight into my windpipe making it feel constantly raw and sore, and giving me a horrible dry cough which in the past has stuck around far too long. I have been having this since my daughter was born 2 and a half years ago. I think that things sjs wise have been coming on since then...

I remember reading something about the windpipe being dry in sjs- is this throat thing just another sjs linked problem? Joint wise and fatigue wise have been much better than usual?? Just as the other poster found..

I was told by my rhuemy that it is almost a given that any cold sjoggries get will turn to a sinus infection or bronchitis.

I have bronchitis now and fighting it with an antibiotic.

Take Care!
