Hi Everyone!! ;D
Wow, I got a script for T-3 medication. Just to try it. With a new Doctor who REALLY listened to ME!!!! I said, I feel I have a right to try any medication that is prescribed and is in the realm of my illness, in this case my AI thyroiditis. I had a bad spell right before my appt w/this new doctor. He totally agreed. He is into preventative, deal w/it now, let's solve the puzzle. I am very very encouraged. I am going to a wellness center, 3 hours away. I would drive any distance to see him!
Wow what a great doctor. He said, I learned that a patient will tell you all you need to know about their illness if you LISTEN. Now that's what I am talking about! :o
I wanted to share the good news, it was a good productive day. A very humane doctor day! Worth the effort.
Take care,
Cally p.s. I think I will post this info in the Recommend a Doctor section.
Cally!
I am delighted for you! Hopefully he will never retire and you will be set from here on out!
This is another victory against Sjogren's Syndrome and thyroiditis!
Hi Cally :)
woohoo! A doc that listens! Hang onto him. Sounds well worth a three hour drive. It's great to read success stories in the forum as well as the rest.
happy for you.
Take care - Scottie :)
Isn't it strange how excited we get when we find a doctors who listen to their patients, acts humanly and shows an interest in making you well. No one ever says, wow I found a grocery store that doesn't sell rotten meat! But, we are forced to see rotten doctors, in a country with the highest medical costs in the world, something is not right!

i am soooo pleased to read this, what a difference a good dco makes.
I hope this new medication makes you feel better and improves your quality of life, as epson says just a dco who acts humanely makes a world of difference!
Makes me wonder how the rest of the dcotors get away with their attitudes, must teach lessons on how to act arrogant in some med schools

Cally,
So glad to hear your good news...thanks for sharing it here with us...your right...you had a very productive day because you had a doc who listened to you and cared enough to help!
I agree with Epson...this should be the norm and expected behavior, but unfortunately that's not always the case and that is very sad!
