Hi there:
I know many of you in Philadelphia area are already "in-the-know" but the Sjogren's Syndrome Foundation Walkabout is coming up real soon to raise money for research and other things.
I haven't seen anyone write about it so I just wanted to make a mention. The event is at Tyler State Park in Bucks County, PA on Saturday May 2. For info or to start a team you can go to http://www.sjogrens.org/home/get-connected/walkabouts
There are actually several walkabouts in the country coming up soon!
Since I am new to Sjogren's, I am hoping to start my own team. It probably won't be fancy (no special tee shirts or anything.) Just me out and about walking around on what I hope is a nice day. Right now, it will probably be me, my mom, and my youngest sister. I am pumped for research. I wish more money was directed at medical research than some of the other things our government likes to direct funding towards.
Love

Sadrain,
It's nice to hear that you're physically able to participate in an activity like this. My feet have given up and now I am only involved in drive byes.

Thank you Epson and Wednesday. I am fortunate to be on my feet and am incredibly grateful for my mobility.
I am excited about the walk. I've raised $720 just today alone! I need to redirect my anger (recently diagnosed anger) to something more positive.
I'll be walking for everyone.
Love,
Sadrian
