With all of the bad stuff that has besieged me the last couple of week, months, OK years, I forget to tell you guys that a got a copy of my ultra sound report. It said that I have an ovarian cyst, I never heard of a guy having an ovarian cyst, well , unless he has ovaries, but then he wouldn't be a dude, he would be a hermaphrodite.
I know your thinking, must be the wrong report, I don't think so. How many people have a stent in their bladder? Not too many,
lets just hope this is a typo, maybe I've been crabby because it's my time of the month?
*snicker*
Well if it were me..i would call and ask about it..as it will stay in the med file and might cause problems or questions later...I would if they did an exam on me and said I had testicular swelling...as I dont (to my knowledge)have testicles *looks to see* nope they arent there :D :D ;)
So when you get over being cranky I would call and ask..you might give the people in the office a few giggles while they get it fixed ;D

Epson,
I'm sorry about your ovarian cyst. If you experience a bit of bloating or water weight gain you should take some Midol?) Probably your wife has some!
(Falling out of my chair laughing)
Aren't you pretty tall...and hairy...and MANLY looking?!
On a more serious note, what the heck did they see on the sonogram films? Or do you think they just got you mixed up in dictation? Some poor lady has probably been told her testicles look firm and rosy.
And to think I was getting worried about you...glad to hear from you...and
having ovaries isn't so bad...I've got 'em and I'm a good person..I think...
I have no idea how many for sure have stints in their bladder...but stranger
things have happened...and or they could have someone like me typing up
your report...you know someone who makes mistakes...worth looking into..
Pop a midol (if there are no drug interactions with what your taking now)
and go in and find out. ;)
JJ
i want to laugh at this and part of me thinks bloody heck !!
well that it i was worried about hair loss and my voice getting deeper and deeper due to hoarsness, now i know im turning into a bald middle aged man and my voice is finally breaking, hmmmmm best not tell the government about that, might tax me on it :D
T x
Oh, I forgot to mention that the ovarian cyst is on my kidney, obviously a typo or the person reading the ultra sound has Sjogren's and their brain froze when writing the report, we can all relate to that.
Maybe the person writing the report has an ovarian cyst and had that on her mind while
typing the report....hmmmm...but was thinking due to the hair loss and your circus
position as the Monkey boy possibly comming to an end...you could re-bill yourself as
the hairless ovary monkey boy....and is there an opening for a bearded lady...cause the hair loss
I have been experiencing is being apparently transfered to my chin. What your not
seeing is that even if you had an ovarian cyst on your kidney...right...no one would
see it like they are going to see my beard. Trying to give ya a brite side....

Epson:
It would be funnier if these were not the same folks poking around your nether regions with sharp instruments. Hope it's only the transcriptionist who is that confused.
When they suggest you get a hysterectomy, I'd start to question them.
Sue
Sue,
I feel like I've had every rectomy known to man, or women. Rectomy darn near killed me! Tomarrow start the Chemo, fun, fun.
Good luck, Epson. I know this is very serious stuff (a nightmare in truth) and prayers for you are in the works!
Are you expecting to puke after? I hope you are getting the kind that doesn't make you puke.
Wishing so much that this course of chemo annihilates any residual cancer cells! Wishing so much for this whole thing to be a distant memory for you.
Janna
Epson,
I took a med transcription course, people have to type exactly what they hear on the audio tape; which tells me the transcriber heard ovarian cyst on the bladder. The doctor most likely is used to saying ovarian cyst, and just said it as one word instead of two. Nonetheless, it is pretty scary to think these are the very people we trust with our life.
I hope you do not have too much of a problem with the chemo, and the n/v is nill to none. Will keep you in my prayers.
Collie
Oh Epson-how you make me smile :). I think it's very common to have ovarian cycts-my husband also gets crabby when his cysts are acting up!
Epson - maybe we should change the spelling to "Wrecked -o-me"
Epson- So sorry to hear about the ovarian cycts. You do know not to count on having a cyct for birthcontrol, right? (I was actually told when I was younger that I couldn't get pregnant because of my cysts. Being that I now have 2 children, I was VERY, VERY lucky back then that they were wrong.)
Seriously, Epson, my best to you as you start chemo. I'd definitely want to know who made the typo and get it fixed in your chart.
JJ- I'm with you on the lost hair - I swear every hair that has been lost on my head or that no longer grows on my legs has been permanently transplanted onto my chin. The steriods don't help!
Good Luck, Epson, Tracy
Epson- My thoughts will be with you tomorrow as you start the chemo. I sure hope it doesn't endanger your ovaries--they could be worth millions!
This post made me giggle as I often feel the opposite! This disease is turning me into a man! At least i kinda look like one a bit. I have to take steroids and sometimes allot of them like this past Dec/Jan and I get a whole hard corners thing going on. My face changes shape and I just look harder or tougher or something. Plus bigger which is always nice for a 5' woman.
I even avoid mirrors as much as possible during these times. Oh well one day hopfully soon i'll look in the mirror and "she" will be back ;D.....at least til the next time. Sandra
Epson,
I sure pray that your treatment will go well and you can get beyond this nightmare. You've been through so much. You know everyone here loves you and wants good days to come your way.
Anna
Epson, I would venture to guess that the gal doing the transcription could not understand what the doctor was saying and thought he said ovarian. At any rate it sure has been worth a laugh or two.
Hope that all goes well with the chemo and that you don't have too much nausea with it. Irish ;D
