Title: My GP is sending me to a rheumatologist
Post by: baddabingtim on February 10, 2009, 10:54:54 AM
I was negative for sjogrens according to 2 lip biopsies and blood work - unfortnately I never got a diagnosis - so I went back to my GP today and he made an appt with rhuemy - I never been to one and its not until april 28th - amazing  -

Anyway - anyone ever have a day like this:

9:00  - went to new dentist to have teeth checked
He said I should come back around 1:00 pm for his root canal doc to look at my tooth - BTW I had all my  fillings replaced and now one of my teeth is killing - I also need my teeth fixed becase of grinding

11:00 - Go to my GP - he makes appt for rhuemy

1:00 go to dentist - she looks at tooth - says she does not have enough time for root canal - come back at 2:15 (It is 1:55 now) and she will open it up to releive pain

2:15 - back at dentist

3:30 - getting an MRI - my GP scheduled that at 11:00

Now remember all of these are at different locations

Phew!!     Well  I  don't suppose you had much time to worry over the tests, and hopefully the pain too..
Hope your all done & dusted now , with good results from all of this..
   Cheers Dolly.

Wow - what a run around. You must be exhausted! I hope they sorted the toothache out. Not many things are worse than toothache. I'm glad you've been referred to a rheumy. Oity it's not until April but it gives you time to keep a symptom diary and think up some questions!

Take care - Scottie  :)

Thats quite a day.  Last year I was averaging about three doctors appointments a week.   Between my GP,  The Rhumatologist,  the physcologist,  the dentist,  the chiroprator not to mention the endrocronologist,  the neurologist.  Its a wonder they didn't send me to a veternarian!   Maybe this is why my SSDI went through!

Aww, Navy Dad,   sorry to hear you are having these awful problems, but good to think youv'e not got SS, you have enough to deal with....    See here now, we are not going to have you put down either!    Keep plugging away at those Docs of your's and  tell them them exactly what you think is wrong with you... They do say that our bodies tell us when something is not right.  Hope the son is getting over the flu,    isin't it true that things always come in threes?   Also your dear wife must go and have that check up too.. I pray that you all will have better times ahead, and stay strong...
Will keep you in thoughts and prayer... Best Wishes Dolly
