Post by: JJ on January 06, 2009, 08:16:55 AM
Do not see category for this...wondering if any women with SJS has had this problem or not??
Or if it has anything to do with SJS or even heard of it.

JJ, I have never had a Bartholin cyst, and I am not sure if anyone else has ever done a thread on it. I would imagine that anything that secretes would be high risk for issues. Cysts really are quite common in women and usually end up being lanced and antibiotics. I have no clue how one would prevent problems with this. I just had this funny thought pass through my head---maybe some Salogen would help!!!! :D It is a gland after all. I would think that putting heat of it when it isn't inflammed would stimulate the gland and help prevent infection. Let us know if you find out anything. With Sjogrens there is always a surprise around the corner. Irish ;D

Thanks Irish,
I had never heard of it before and was asked if Sjogrens would be a cause since it
was a moisture producing gland. I hate to blame Sjogren's on everything and thought
if I sent an SOS and heard a lot of responses I could say it was possible. I'm still
fairly new to this and when asked about things I realize that I'm really not the one to ask.
But, thanks for the response....I hate that I can't be more helpful or I guess knowledgable.
This site has really help me understand a little more.
