It's time to start the year off with some good news for a change and it might be the last of it, so enjoy.
I learned that some of my Cognative problems were due to seizers. Well after taking Lamotrigine for a little over two months, gradually increasing the dosage, no more seizures and my brain fog is greatly improved.
You don't realize how mess up your head is until the dust starts to settle. Now if I could start to feel physically better, 09 could be a great year.
It helps when the doctor says, don't worry we are going to find out what's wrong with you. He also said with Sjogren's, seizures were a strong possibility. I was starting to think that I had Alzhiemer's, no joke and so did my wife.
I am not saying everyone with Sjogren's has seizures, but I do think that going to see a neurologist is a good idea, I am only sorry that I didn't do it sooner.
It's great that you got some answers Epson...and even better that the treatment is helping you to feel better. 2009 is off to a good start for you!

Hi Epson :)
Any improvement in brain-fog has to be a good thing! Glad to hear at least one med is working! It's great the way you look to the positive! That's what will pull you through! Here's to a fog-free 2009!
Take care - Scottie :)
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm happy you are starting to feel better, stay positive :)
All right Epson! I'm so glad to hear that your noggin is in fine fiddle once more my pointy tooth friend! ;D
And may 2009 find your body returning to a healthy level for you.
Patze
Epson, It is about time you had some good news. Glad that it will be easier for you to deal with life mentally. You are right about being aware of seizure activity. We always think that it is the little kids that can have them but they can come with a lot of the autoimmune stuff. Thank goodness for all the new medications now. Irish ;D
Epson... Way to go ! Good start for the new year.... I'm happy for you...!
We thought there was a reason you're getting back to your old self. Now we know what it was. lucy
Hey epson,
Good news they figured the seizure thing out.
Remember when "House" had him a sjoggy patient, she had seizures......... there ya go. House is the man... ;D
Did you see that episode?
Happy New Year, kimbo
It's fab to hear such good news - I'm made up for you Epson and hope that this is just the start of more good things to come in 2009 for you.
Love Wen x
Been following the posts a bit but as my mom is pretty sick and therefor i'm pretty tired I haven't replied much. Thinking of you all though. I have to say here though Epson it's about darn time you've caught a break. Through all this stuff we go through a bit of posative reinforcment sure can carry us a long way. And the brain thing i sure get it, it's the only tool in my toolbox that i can rely on most of the time so when it goes south it sure makes things difficult. Processing information is sure allot easier and making decisons about that same information is doable, so encouraged for you. i saw a neuro for something similar and although he did tell me that the sjs can be a problem, i wasn't to bad ??? So until such time (hopefully never) I get to be a half-wit during the rough times. oh well, I am upright today and that can take a person quite far!
You have a great day. Sandra
Kimbo,
I didn't see that episode of House, but when he took LSD to get rid of a headache I decided that this is not the guy I want as a doctor. I think everyone knows that LSD is a recreational drug and you should never mix business with pleasure ;D
It's about time you got some good news Epson. Glad to hear it. I pray you get nothing but good news this year, you sure deserve it.
Pooh
You were due some good news, Epson. I'm really happy for you.
Good to hear that your neuro has done his/her job and that the meds are working. Now the big question is ... what are you going to do with all this renewed brain power? Our expectations are high!
Seriously, I do hope that you start to feel physically better and that 2009 is a good year for you.

Genko

Cheryl
I want you to know Epson, just this single post gives me hope...

JJ
Epson-
Well it's certainly time you got some good news.
I know exactly what you mean about not knowing how bad you are til the dust clears - I was taking quite a bit of pain meds for years for my back until I finally got a morphine pump 3 years ago. Once I was weaned of the narcotics, it was like I'd woken up after a 14 year sleep. The only problem with that is that I suddenly noticed that no one had been taking care of the house in my "absence". Oh well - at least now I'm awake enough to get working on things, right?
Anyway, I'm glad one of your medical issues has cleared. I'm still praying that the rest do the same for you,
Tracy
Tracy,
That part about waking up and noticing that no one was taking care of the house was funny. I have a picture in my mind and I can't stop laughing :D
Hey Epson,
IM glad they found out what was happening and the meds are working. 2009 is looking like a good yearfor you
