Here I am again sick as a dog. Nasaueted, shaky, tremors and the joint pain and neuropathy is really bad. I've been taking clonazepam at bedtime for the nerve pain and anxiety. Quit the neurontrin about a month ago because I got a rash but not sure if it was the cause or not. Think I may need to start on it again and keep an eye out for rash. Neuro said it was okay to take neurontrin and clonazepam together. Will see neuro and rheumy later this month. Completed five months on the Plaquenil.
On a brighter note, have ordered special socks and shoes for neuropathy and hope that they give me some relief. It would be nice to maybe get some exercise. Seems like the more active I am the more the neurological symptoms act up.
Know there are a lot worse people out there than me. One of my relatives has lung cancer and the other has breast cancer. A freind of ours had a stroke and is in a rehablitation therapy facility. So things could be worse.
Hi Lighthouse,
I'm sorry that you are having a hard go of things right now. I know that you are trying to put your discomfort into perspective - when you think of others with catastrophic diseases like aggressive cancers. Thinking along those lines helps me from throwing a pity party for myself, too.
I hope that managing your medications and your new socks help ease your symptoms and bring you some relief.

sorry to hear your not feeling well. what kind of socks and shoes have you ordered for the neuropathy? my mother has peripheral neuropathy, and I always like to tell her of anything that might help her. she has the burning in her legs and feet.

The shoes I ordered are the Aetrex X801W - Black because I wear a lot of black pants. They have two removable insoles. Will just have to try them. Shoes can be difficult, especially for me. But they are made for diabetics/neuropathy so one can only hope.

The socks I ordered are the FootHuggers. Can't wait to get and try them. Think they are recommended by the Neuropathy Association, if I read that right on the website:

Their website had a section on Health Benefits and they also talk about Peripheral Neuropathy, Raynaurds etc.
