Title: headaches?
Post by: gsmraxe on December 03, 2008, 07:16:46 AM
I was wondering if anyone here suffers from a lot of headaches.  I went to bed last night with one and it woke me up at 3am, felt like little men where pounding on my brain with sledge hammers.  I did manage to eventually go back to sleep, I was a fool not to get up and take some motrin or something..  But I woke up and my head isn't as bad, but my eyes are almost swollen shut and they ache.  Hurts to move my eyes.  Just curious if this is SJS related or I need  little sledge hammer men exterminators :)

Yes, I have a lot off headaches, but not from SS, there from PEOPLE.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I know what you mean :)

One thing is for sure, that no matter how bad my day is, I get home and my dogs are so happy to see me, my heart just melts and all of my frustrations disappear when I pet them.   ;D

I had headaches too and was blaming SJS.  I went to a neurologist and found out that I was having migraines.  The hallmark of a migraine is that the headache is worse with bright lights and/or flickering lights.  If it is migraines you are having they recommend isolating what triggers the migraine.  There is a big list - I am sure if you search on it you will come up with a list.  Anyway my trigger was xylitol - the sweetener we use to increase saliva production.  Once I got off of that my headaches went away!!!  I had been thinking the headaches were from eye strain caused by dry eyes.

Hi

I get daily headaches and it's depressing to say the least.  Sometimes they can be fixed with a NSAID but sometimes not.  I take Fiorinal for the really bad ones but not always because it knocks me out.  AND they are the ones without codeine so I can just imagine what those would do.  It may be something you can look into, you can ask your doc.

I agree with the pets.  I have a beagle and she is my buddy.  She is a lap dog and she truly is therapy.  YAY for fur babies!!

I had continual migranes for about a month now. Found out the cause was a ruptured achilles heel tendon. Once I got a cast on, headache went away in 20 feet of walking.

I hope you headache goes away soon.
