Title: Happy Thanksgiving!
Post by: salsen on November 23, 2008, 02:16:41 AM
I have a lot to be thankful for this year.  Although our home and area received a good bit of damage from Hurricane Gustav,  all of my family are well and thriving - for this I am thankful.  Even though everyone in my family are having to be more cautious about our spending, so far we are all hanging in there with jobs -  for this I am thankful.  In Sept. all of my family were together for my nephew's wedding - for this I am thankful.  With so many of us scattered it is difficult to accomplish this most of the times.  We have two new additions expected to join the family in the next few months - for this I am thankful.

My family has had high's and low's this year.  My husband and I have both tackled more illness and life problems than usual  but have managed to handle it all without going too crazy - for this I am thankful.

Most of all for having friends here who will listen to me moan and groan when I even get tired of listening to my own self - for this I am thankful!

I hope all of you have a blessed Thanksgiving and you too have points of light in your life to be thankful for.

Happy Thanksgiving Salsen!

I too am thankful for my family, home and friends.  Also the addition of our little Cassie in September.  She is such a joy to all of us.

I'm thankful that my husband came through the rough time he had in February.

Our daughter that lives with us is such a blessing, for her love and daily help I am truly thankful.

For my grandchildren who don't forget us and stop by all through the year, for this we are truly, truly thankful.

For all our wonderful great grandchildren and the joy they bring us....they are truly God's blessings.

I am so honored and thankful for the time I get to spend here on Sjogren's World with all of you.

To all my friends here on Sjogren's World and to all who read this,

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

I am very thankful for the wonderful family and friends I have. For I am blessed. I may be all dried up. But have the blessing of family and friends. Already today I went to Walmart with my husband and daughter and granddaughter. who is only 6 months. and My eyes were so dry I could not see. It was horrible. So I know this winter is going to be a challenge with the dryness.
I am thankful I can see at all. It could be a lot worst. I am thankful and so blessed as I love my family so much. I am thankful my granddaughter's sf test came back neg. and everyone is healthy I am thankful for the wonderful Mother and stepfather that can help me when I need it.
I am thankful to just be alive and enjoying my family. Right now the economy is in a really horrible shape, My prayers go out to all that need help. God does not close anydoor that we can not open. We need to look at the blessing we have and not what we don't have.
My wish this year is for every one to be as healthy and happy as can be. Have a positive out look. Things will always get better. I am thankful for this wonderful family at Sjogrens World. I get so much advice and friendship. You all are truly in my prayers.
Love Theresa

Happy Thanksgiving.   It is my turn to have it here at my house.   I know that it would wipe me out putting on a dinner so I ordered the complete dinner already cooked and ready to go from the grocery store.   I just have to heat it up.   How's that for conserving energy!

Happy Thanksgiving Steve.  You sound like a very smart man.  We did the same thing a few years ago and no one knew the difference.  Just being together was the main thing.

Have a great day,

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

My mother really didn't like turkey, and so I grew up without ever having one for Thanksgiving. One time she made sweet and sour pork. Since visiting with people is the most important thing, it didn't really matter what she served.

Another way to go is to have everyone bring something, including the turkey. Usually there is a least one member of the group who has a special way to cook it and is happy to show it off. You can even do it on the grill.

We will do our meal early so I can get to the state prison for evening services that day - nothing special is going on for the inmates so it would be a shame to cancel services. Every time I go there I am reminded again of how lucky I am in so many ways.

Yes, Happy Thanksgiving everyone, even those who do not celebrate it, surely you have something to be thankful for. My church serves Thanksgiving dinner to the poor and hungry people in the area, since it is only my son and I, we help serve dinner at the church, I cannot see cooking a whole dinner for just the two of us. I use to , but it just proved to be too much work.

Do not eat too much
