I quit smoking a year ago today; and want to celebrate because when I started, I never thought I would make it a week let alone the year. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Good on you Collie - takes a whole lot of willpower, especially when you are not feeling 100%.
Hope you keep it up - have you treated yourself with the money you've saved?
Hey collie,
Kudos to you my friend. The first twelve months is the hardest and you've done it. Go out and treat yourself to something nice.
The stats say that only 20% of people who make a quit attempt actually succeed. You have done good.
May you be an inspiration to others.
*high fivin ya* :D :D :D

Congrats, Collie!!!
This is a great milestone for you. I know how hard it is because I am a former smoker. My quit date was 11-13-1989. About 19 years to the date. I tell people I think I'd be dead if I still smoked.
What you did takes lots of grit and gutts. Kudos to you. Lucy ;D
Collie, well done you! Did you use patches or anything to help? I stopped 25 years ago, and I too probably wouldn't be here now if I still smoked. 20 years after stopping I was diagnosed with bronchiectasis and asthma, so thank God for the hypnotherapist all those years ago.
Have you been saving the money you used to spend on smoking? That should make a good celebration if you have. :)

Thanks, I am amazed it has been a year already. I was using the nicitrol inhalers, (which do controll the cravings) and at the same time I was asking God to take the cravings from me, and to my surprise God said no because I just traded my addiction from one thing to another and I was giving all the praise to the inhaler. So after about two days, I quit the inhaler and went cold turkey. Every time I got a craving I cried out to God, you promised too take this from me, and instantly the craving was gone.
