That's what my Rheumy said at my checkup. On the edge of something. He again pushed the call me if you want a script for a Medrol pack.I got home Sun. from Fla. with a fifth mo. of mouth sores starting.Today I called the office and requested the script to be called in.I hope it helps I'm tired of teetering and want to try and kick whatever is brewing. What do you think?Any opinions on this giving me a boost?I don't have a clue as to what he thought I was on the edge of.He was in a hurry and rushed me in and out.Grrr
Ruby--what is this thing with doctors? Teetering on the edge could be anything. I thought maybe you were going to kill yourself by the title. (I know you're not.) Maybe if you tell us some of your other symptoms, the folks can get a better idea of what is ailing you. I don't know enough to comment on the Medrol pack. I know 5 months with mouth sores is awful. Hang in there. Lucy

Aww Ruby, those mouth sores are the pits. I hope the Medrol works for you. (Medrol is a corticosteroid similar to a natural hormone produced by your adrenal glands.) Let us know how you make out with it and if it clears up the sores.
Hang in there,
Hugs, Pooh
Hi Ruby,
I do agree with the others, the mouth sores are the pits, and I'm sorry that you're having to deal with them for so long now. Wow, hang in there, and I sure hope that the meds kick in soon!
Take care -
Patze
Ruby, I sure hope the Medrol pack works for you. It is the pits to have mouth sores. Can't imagine you put up with them for this long.Good luck!!! I have used the medrol pack several times over the years.
Pud, The medrol pack has the pill in a plastic container in the blister packs. I forget how it goes but it will amount to a certain number of pills one day and a decreasing dose over the period of 6 days or so. Usually works quite well and is fast. Irish ;D
It sounds cool. i hope it helps ruby

Sorry to scare you Patze LOL.That choice of words he used just amuses me.If anyone asks how I'm doing now I say teetering.Every month since June I get sores that last 2wks. .I don't think there is any way of knowing what's going on until the doc thinks it's serious enough to run specific tests.I just want a little relief and don't want to get run down.I'm able to just accept things and take it as it comes now after all those mos. of depression.i hope this med helps and nothing develops.thanks for letting me vent a little.
The medrol pack is the worst. It's only 6 days... it's like a teaser. I dont know about anyone else who's taken it, but I felt good the first couple days, then I crashed and actually was worse off than when I started after I was off of it.
Hmm,I know what your saying Nathan.I've taken it for spider bites long before I got this DD.I don't hold out much hope but i'll try anything until I turn some kind of corner to good or bad.I just want this painful episode either explained or better yet gone for good.So annoying and painful.
No worries Ruby - and I also hope that this med pack helps you!
