Title: Abusive father
Post by: kcoffiner on August 04, 2008, 11:48:11 AM
Hi ALl:

as you all probably know I had to move home to my parents due my dry eyes. However, I am finding that my father is quite abusive physically and emotionally. For example, this morning I accidentally spilled something on the carpet. To punish me he sprayed clorox in my eyes. My eyes are by far my worst sjogren's syndrome. This Thursday I have my scleral lens appt. Not to sound too selfish but please pray for me. I want to move out on my own so bad so I don't have to be abused like this.

Thanks
Kim

That's sadistic.  Yes, I'll pray for you, and for him.

You should call the police!  NO ONE has the right to do that to someone else!
Prayers coming that you can be strong.

Kim, I don't know how old you are, but as Kelly said you must report your Stepfather, at least to your Doctor if not the police.. What does Mum do on occasions such as this.  Please don't let this go on..
My prayers and all best wishes are with you my dear... Dolly.

He is my birth father. My mom kind shrugs it off because they both feel it is a nuisance that I came home. It is not a supportive environment to say the least. But thank you for your well wishes.

Kim:

I'm so sorry you are being treated so harshly, especially by your parents, no one deserves that kind of treatment.

I am praying to our Heavenly Father to put His arms around you and support you through this and to give your father a new heart for kindness and break his own stony heart.

Sue

Hi Kim,

Wow, just wow!  Your mother just shrugged?  Do you have any other relatives that might help you?  Any good friend perhaps?  I'm sorry, but I don't care how miserable it might make me, if kidlet needs to move back in, the door will always be open.

Please take care -

Patze

Kim you need to contact a domestic abuse shelter or something like that as they can probably put you up in some place safe. No one has the right to treat you like that or spray clorox in your eyes. How would he like it if someone did that to him. Get out sweetie and take care of yourself.

Oh Kim, my heart sank when I read your post - think you need to be looking for an escape route and alternatives to living back with your parents.  Realise this will be hard and probably not what you need to be doing right now, but neither is living with this type of fear day in and day out.

Big hugs across the pond to you x x x
