I spoke elsewhere about my left eye problem......I was seen yesterday by the only doctor at the immedate care clinic....never been pleased with hem but no choice. He says no infection but I have a cataract. Well I know this but one that has gotten this bad in 10 days!!!!!!!!!!!!! He said I should get seen today and I also called my main eye doc and he said I should get seen today yet when I called my doctors office the nurse would only offer me tueday at 1:20 which means I'm off for A SECOND afternoon for a doctors appointment in less than a week. I begged for one the next morning but she said no. Sorry, I love you nurses that responded to me under the lungs area but this lady was COLD. Is anybody out there now that could weigh in on this. Out of desperation I called another eye doctors office and made an appoinment for tomorrow. I'm so burned out :'(

I'm glad you've got yourself an appointment sooner rather than later although it must be annoying not seeing the doc you expected to see. I can't really comment too much because our system is so different here in the UK.
If I needed to see an eye doc in a hurry I would go to the hospital that has an 'eye casualty' unit. (Like ER for eyes) Don't know how long i'd have to wait once I got there though.

I am sorry for you and know exactly how it feels when Dr. office staff refuse to help in an urgent/scarey situation.
The anxiety can be as bad as the initial medical concern!
