Dear Sjogren's Angels,
I've cancelled twice on my own last year, because of fear of side effects and twice this year because I had an infection and was taking antibiotics.
My neurologist explained that I am a much worse than average risk for falls and therefore my statistical chances of broken bones (hip, forearm, and thigh bone) are MUCH greater than average for my diagnosis of Osteopenia (steroid induced).
Therefor, the possible side effects of Reclast are not as important as the protection Reclast will provide for my bones.
Now I just have to avoid an infection before June 23.
Elaine
Elaine,
I hope this works out for you. I take Prolia injection every 6 months because I have Osteoporosis. So far I haven't had any real issues with it. I get a bone density next month to compare with my last one.
Stay well!
Kathy
Reclast update. All went well. Nary a side effect.
WHEW!
I've had an infusion of 50 grams of IgG for 11 years. I've never had a single problem during or after. But the litany of side effects, some horrendous listed by folks having IgG infusions really bothered me.
I won't have another Reclast infusion until next year, with another bone density scan before the infusion.
Stay tuned.
Elaine
I'm glad to hear it worked out! Best, Marie
