Hello fellow Sjo-journers,
I'm dropping in again after a long absence. Yesterday I was with a friend who does not have Sjogren's but has a serious gum disease. It kept getting worse until she heard about oil pulling and tried it.
She says the cleansing effects have helped her mouth feel better, reduce pain and that her dental care-givers are noticing an improvement in her gums.
I was interested because of my very dry mouth and the tendency to increased bacteria. I'm wondering if any of you have tried it. Here is an article about it:

Best regards to all of you!

Sunflower,
I have heard of oil pulling using coconut oil and I've done it a few times. I think you should try it. My Evoxac is what I really rely on for my dry mouth.
Reading your post has made me want to do it again. Coconut oil is so good for many things. I've used it on my skin, and it tastes good on toast, believe it or not. It's a very healthy fat.
Let us know how it works for you.
Kathy
Thanks, Kathy. I appreciate your reply.
It actually sounds a little hokey, but coconut oil has amazing uses and a great natural remedy. My friend is astute about her health - defnitely not hokey!
I haven't tried it yet.
