For those who take Ubiquinol COQ10, are you still having success with saliva production?
I guess no one is here anymore who took this supplement :(
There have been scientific studies showing improved saliva production with both Ubiquinol and coQ10, but I haven't found any that recheck for long term continues results.
I was taking CoQ10 when ubiquinol and ubiquinone were introduced, and tried the reduced form, but when I did the math (50% bioavailability of Q10 vs ubiquinol, and the cost of taking double doses instead of buying the more expensive and taking half) there was minimal difference, and the Q10 being much more available in our area, I continued with it.
I never noticed any "surge" of saliva production, but I haven't lost any over the years so I can't really answer your question.
Thank you Linda for replying . Do you have any side affects from taking this supplement?
I have no side effects that I'm aware of, you know how it is; the symptoms of Sjogren's can be so vague and varied it's hard to tell is something is a side effect, and when I add my other four or so AIs it gets confusing. I did have to monitor my BP very closely when starting new meds because CoQ10 can interfere with some BP meds, and other meds as well, but none that I take. Worth while to do (or have your pharmacist do) a compatibility check.
Thank you Linda for responding:)
I am still a on UBiquinol, the I stop my eyes are drier
I take it. No issues. I think it might help my migraines slightly. Does not worsen my Sjogrens.
