Title: Anyone taking Arava?
Post by: SjoGirl on May 03, 2021, 03:27:54 PM
I took Imuram for over three years but my rheumatologist will not put me back on it because they recently learned that LT use increases one's risk for melanoma. Arava is the option she is offering, has anyone taken it and if so how well did it work and did you suffer many side effects?

I am not taking Arava but my Rheumatologist has discussed adding Arava to my medication regimen (which includes Hydroxychloroquin and Rituximab infusions). I am considering adding Arava.

Arava has shown good results in a study done in the Netherlands.

Yes,   I've been taking Arava for nearly two  years now.  No noted side effects. I still  have a lot  of pain but liver enzymes are normal.
