I had both my Pfizer vaccines in March. First one, no problem. The second one, the day after, I felt like I was starting a flair and I've had all the typical flare symptoms since: extreme dryness of eyes and mouth, fatigue, joint pain, incredibly thick mucus and saliva, pain on the right side of my tongue and whenever I flare or am catching a virus, I feel like I am vibrating inside nonstop. It's been really rough and I was thinking that the vaccines are continuing to cause an autoimmune response. This morning, I had an appointment with my doctor, told him my symptoms and he thinks it is an autoimmune response to the vaccines. And, the response is very typical for me- if someone gives me a cold, they get over theirs in a week, I get the cold for 6 weeks which is why it makes sense that I am still reacting to the vaccines. I'm wondering if anyone else has had problems after being vaccinated? Thanks.
The only weird thing that happened after 2 Moderna vaccines is that I have a perpetual cramp in my right calf. The cramp started the day after my 2nd vaccine and has not stopped. It is not red, warm to touch or inflamed, but still has constant pain. My son has an employee that has the exact same issue.

I?m going to get my first Pfizer shot on Saturday. And I?ve actually been really worried about getting it for that reason. The last vaccine I got was a dtap booster a year ago and it made me flare really bad and I feel like my symptoms have yet to get back to where they were before I had had it. So I?d love to hear other people?s reactions with first and second shots.
So sorry to hear this happened to you too. The day after my second Pfizer vaccine shot in early March, I woke up with extreme fatigue and severe flare symptoms. It was as if someone had flipped a switch. The fatigue from the shot went away, but my flare symptoms got worse. I am so dry I have no tears or saliva and new problems seem to crop up almost every day. I?m miserable physically and mentally because before the second COVID shot I had been doing quite well. I am worried that this flare might not settle down because of my autoimmune response to the vaccine.

I had the Johnson vaccine and for the next five days I was very fatigued and slept a lot. I also had the aches and just lack of interest in doing anything as I felt ill...like the flu. I had a little upset stomach and the sniffles for 24 hours or so which is very rare for me. It seemed like I improved some but not back to my old self. Then I started feeling so very exhausted and just wanted to take a lot of naps. I didn't feel fluy then but couldn't quit figure out what was going on.
THe 23rd of March I a toe amputated which wasn't a hard surgery and I was awake through the whole thing. I had to sit around a lot for several weeks and was tired but had to walk only to bathroom and to get meals and the darned boot was heavy and wore me out also. I get IVIG and they have been moving the days further apart due to my kidney disease so I went from every 4 weeks and then every 5 weeks xs 2 and then every 6 weeks the last time. I was thinking that my fatigue was from either met flu shot or from having my IVIG so far apart.
Well, finally had the IVIG and after the 500 mgm of solumedrol IV prior to infusion I was feeling better and then I just got stronger every day. Took about a week to get back to normal. I was sort of sideswiped by this event but do think in hindsight that the vaccine kicked my autoimmune issues up and it took the IVIG and steroids to get me back.
I went with the Johnson vaccine specifically as it is the old DNA method more or less and I felt it would not be as hard ono my system. I tend to react to medications more than normal people. I knew that I had taken the regular flu shot for many years so felt more comfortable with the Johnson vaccine. My gut feeling was that I would take the Johnson vaccine but not the Pfizer or Moderna. I have to scientific info to make me think that way but just my own research and decision. We all have to do what we think will work for us. Good luck to all of you. Very sorry to hear about those unpleasant symptoms, of course we never know for sure if it's the jab causing them or they would have arrived anyway. But just to say I had no problems with my two Pfizer jabs, other than a sore arm.
We are all different in how we react to things, but in my opinion the risk of getting Covid is generally worse than that of side effects.
Way2Dry- your issues sound exactly like mine. I can't remember the last time I had a flare and wonderful for so long. The fatigue and mouth dryness are unbearable. I have to drink something to swallow food. I'm just hoping at some point that it resolves itself but it's been almost a month and it's never been this bad. Hope you feel better soon.
About two weeks after my first shot I was doing some home organizing on a Saturday. This was typical stuff but I did a lot of it but then also took a break the next day and took a stroll outside and had a relaxing day after working hard. The following day I felt like someone had beat me from my shoulders down to my ankles. I had not been in that much pain since I first became ill and nothing helped it.
I happened to have a rheumatologist appointment around this time. She said doctors were seeing patients who were experiencing delayed reactions as much a one to two weeks after their shot. I ended up doing a Medrol pack which took care of it. I had no issues after the second shot.
My eyes have been affected the worst. Just saw my eye specialist who told me several of his Sjogren?s patients got worse after the second COVID shot. He said some of them improved after 3-4 weeks after the shot. I?m really hoping this will be the case for us.

I took the Johnson and Johnson vaccine and I had a sore arm and some fatigue afterwards. I feel a wonderful relief after having received the vaccine. I feel like it has given me back my life again. I?d do it all over again.
