My hands have been bothering me a lot over the past three months. The new rheumy is not sure if I do have sero-negative RA (as did my former rheumy who I loved) or OA or both. So, I'm driving two hours to have special sonograms done to check all of the joints to see what's up. This is a redo after my last scans which are two years old.
I'm not sure what to wish for. If she says I don't have RA I don't know if she will want to take me off of my existing medication, which I believe has been helpful with SjS. If I do have RA she is thinking it's time for a biologic, I am concerned that it will cost a mint because our new insurance does not cover as much.
I am pretty sure I'm going to need surgery for a trigger finger. It's now so swollen so regularly that I can't bend it to my palm and it hurts like the dickens.
Just asking you all to wish me luck and peace with whatever comes.
I have prayed that all make the right decisions for you, and that you get what you need to feel better.

Wishing you luck for the best outcome.
Thanks. The tech said that the doc should have the results asap. I'm hoping I hear something by the end of the week.
