Title: Arbonne 28 day cleanse
Post by: bmonahan on December 30, 2018, 07:33:53 AM
Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has done the Arbonne 28 day cleanse? I am starting it Tuesday with the help and support of my daughter who has done the program and has gained energy and less digestive issues. My only concern is if it's safe to do with Sjogrens and fibromyalgia? Thank you.

This is the scientific evaluation of cleanses.  In most cases a cleanse will not hurt your body.

I look at this from a different perspective. The colon contains much of the tissues that help fight off infection in the body. When you cleanse, especially for days I would be concerned about getting an infection.

I just got out of the hospital with a gram negative sepsis and it occurred to me that having 3 colon preps in 2 months plus colonoscopy, gastroscopy and swallowing the bullet for 8 hours of pictures of colon might have upped my propensity for infection. I would think seriously about this. Irish

Thank you for responding.
Sorry to hear of your recent infection Irish.  This is definitely something to think about for me because I am on Imuran, which depresses my immune system leaving me more susceptible to infection.  I may only do parts of this plan and will skip the week three which is when they suggest doing the colon cleanse.  I have chronic IBS and I haven't been too good lately with my food choices.  I tested negative  for celiac.  I get bloated and have belly pain a lot. I am hoping with better food choices I might feel better, have more energy and less arthritis and joint pain.  Happy New Year!!
Thanks for the links Carolina,  I am going to read those tonight, that is if my dry eyes will allow it.

In addition to what Irish said my concerns about a cleanse include the potential for dehydration and malnutrition. It seems odd to say malnutrition in our world but if absorption is disturbed it can happen, I've been there (from disease)
