I have not been an active poster for a while but generally always check the website on a weekly basis. I have been off my plaquenil since November and lost the battle in August and went back on it. My pain is worse consisting of more muscle pain in arms and legs. I came down with a cold and had a bad cough. Now my cough is much better but I have chest pain on my left side when I cough. I went back to th doctor and she gave me an antibiotic since I have had ongoing symptoms for 3 weeks. I also have a lot of arm muscle pain on the same side. I am hoping this all goes away but I wonder if it is autoimmune related instead. I am so upset with myself that I went off my meds but I have no diagnosis, no inflammation markers and felt great for many years. I am really struggling now and do not see the rhuemmy until the end of November. I also wonder if I will ever get back to how I felt before I went off of plaquenil. Any thoughts?
I hope that your Doctor did an EKG and checked your heart as this was similar to what I experienced before one of my heart attacks.
