Title: CBD oil
Post by: ohiolady on September 17, 2018, 07:17:00 PM
I would very much be interested in hearing your experience with using CBD oil. Has it helped your pain and inflammation? How long did it take to kick in? Negative side effects.

Thanks in advance!

As with any pain management what works for one person may not work for another.

It really helped me when I found the correct dose and manufacturer. A version I like includes coconut oil. The current version is dry and I do prefer the oil. But I take what I have available.

I have been experimenting with medical marijuana. 1:1 ratio of cbd to thc.

I'm mainly taking it for pain management of peripheral neuropathy.
I can't say I have noticed much impact on inflammation in general, but it does help when my nerve pain gets very uncomfortable.
Currently taking it using a vape pen, which I may not be able to do in the winter, as my airway gets drier.

There are other (non-smoke) delivery systems but the vape pen is the cheapest.
I have tried CBD by itself, but it doesn't seem to do anything for pain.

I have heard bad things about lung damage with vape pens so I am concerned that you could have issues. Too bad there isn't an oral version. Good luck. Irish

I have used CBD oil and Kratom.

I think you have to experiment (as Joe mentioned), to find the right product by the right vendor that works for you. I have had some relief with both CBD oil and Kratom. There are oral pills for medical marijuana, but I have not gone that route, yet. I am contemplating the medical marijuana. LDN has greatly helped my debilitating fatigue and now I am working on the pain portion.

It is definitely worth a try to experiment with CBD oil. I went on a CBD Facebook forum to learn about it. Also, they have lists of vetted vendors who have been thoroughly checked out and have third party testing of their products. I have had some people go ballistic about Kratom saying it is a drug & soon to be banned. There are arguments on both sides of this issue. For me, I did have some pain relief, did not have any kind of high or euphoria with it's use. For now, it is a legal supplement in most states. When pain permeates your life enough...everything is worth a try.

Best of luck!
Take Care.
