I've been diagnosed with Sjogren's for almost 10 years. My rheumy feels there is something else going on, and I've had blood drawn for the Avise tests. Anyone else had this? Did it help you and your rheumy with new insights?
My daughter has lupus and her rheumatologist ran this test on her. That is all I know about the testing.

Looks like it's mainly used to look for lupus, but the panel also tests for sjogren's, ra, mctd, scleroderma. It uses a much more sensitive makers than run normally in rheumatologist office.
Hope this helps
Hello Warmwaters, please tell me how much does the test cost ? TKS
Still waiting on results and costs, but will update when I know more.
This was the first test my rheumy ran (after my doc and the hospital ran other (negative) sjogren's tests). I was negative on this one, too.
I believe I signed a document stating that I would not be charged more than $40 for the test, and if my memory serves correctly that's exactly what I was charged.
Update - after waiting several weeks for results, I contacted my doctor's office. There was some sort of screwup on their end, and the test was not processed correctly.
So now I have to go do it again. I'm wondering if I should bother.
