This pain in the back of my neck is horrible whereas when it starts up it stabs so hard and I cry out. I know I've started another flare with my glands popping out and extreme fatigue. Stress is getting the best of me as I am doing all the arrangements for my daughter's wedding...
This burning and feeling like multiple pins are around my neck is problematic. Is there anyone else who has had something similar. I'm trying to keep from doing another burst of prednisone. I still have another month to get in with the new rheumatologist and once again start all over.

Have you seen neuro about this pain? If you are having shooting electricity pain you need to see neuro to check it out. I would make to get this checked out anyway as you don't want to mess with neck pain There can be things going on in spinal cord and vertebra that can be significant and they need to be addressed.
We always tend to blame everything on Sjogrens and/or stress and this can get us in trouble. Good luck. Irish
I agree with Irish.....I have sjs but am in a neck flare up like you right now....but I am thinking it is my cervical stenosis spondylosis
sorry for your pain.....whatever causes it I know neck pain can hurt like hades :(
peppermint oil on the neck helps a little (just don't touch your eyes!)
