Title: Abnormal EEG anyone?
Post by: Jeigh44 on July 22, 2018, 11:12:19 AM
Hi,

I was sent for an EEG by the neuro and it came back that I have small epileptifrom discharges in the temporal lobe area.  I have had countless brain MRIs and have no seizure like symptoms and have never had a seizure.  They want to put me on medication, but I am reluctant to take a medicine for the rest of my life to prevent something that may never happen. I also asked what is causing the EDs and they seemed to have no clue.  Do people with sjogrens sometimes have abnormal EEGS?  Thanks in advance.

Better to take the med prior to having a seizure. If you have a seizure while driving and live to tell about it you will probably lose your drivers license until you are on preventive medication and been seizure free for a year or maybe it is longer now. Good luck researching this issue. Irish
