Hello
I understand tgn can happen due to demyelination or due to blood vessel compressing the nerve.
But i guess in sjogren patients its demyelination or lesion inside the brain. Please correct me if needed.
Now for sjogren patients who develop tgn, can you please share the medication or surgery that is known to be effective?
Its scary to read that 25% of tgn patients commit suicide due to lack of effective treatment.
Thanks
Hi.
My grandmother suffered from ten and took the drug tegretol. Eventually she had surgery to cut the nerve that caused her facial pain. , it was worth it to her.
I am Sorry your experiencing this. It is awful.

Hi Shelly
I currently have Atypical mild face pain. My neurologist says that this can lead to trigeminal neuralgia, so im trying to keep the most effective medication or surgery information ready.
Thanks
You might try anti-inflammatories to bring down the inflammation of the nerves. I take cortef for other reasons and I know it helps this pain. I also take curcumin.
Don't give up!
Even certain foods can trigger our nerves. I have found that to be very true for me.
and PS .. I know two people who found out their TGN pain was from a bad tooth.
