You know, I have finally discovered whenever I need to be healthy the most, my body breaks down and I have a flare!!!!!!! I am in the process of retiring and moving. I need to feel well but the stress of it all has me feeling like death warmed over!!! I ache all over and I feel like this is the worst RA flare I've had in years!!!I hate these diseases! I just hope retiring will help the stress. I've been over tired and run down despite taking a lot of supplements and vitamins. I had shingles a two weeks ago! Does it get better after you retire?? I don't know how I am going to get all of this done. I am worried we will have to make more trips with the truck to move and it's a 3 hour drive each way. Now that I am typing this, no wonder I am having a flare....
A few thoughts...
Moving is extremely stressful. Rest when you can. Get help where you can. Eat healthy.
When I stopped working, I did feel better. Less bad flares. Bad stress is terrible for me.
Best of luck with your retirement and move!
I retired (on disability) in 2015 and things improved for me physically. We moved in Oct 2017 and I
Did not have much trouble with health...maybe fatigue increased but that would be expected from even
The healthy population.
The thing that bothers me the worst about not working is the lack of the social scene. I loved the
Patients, enjoyed my co-workers........however , my license needs renewed for 2018-2020 years.
And I am going to keep it up. You just never know...........
