Well, after a couple of months of feeling "fairly normal" the darn autoimmune is back at it. The neuropathy has flared again and my body feels like a truck has run over it. My rheumatologist finally says it is time to try rituxan, but insurance companies often deny it. He will appeal if they do. I am hoping so much to try it, although I know it takes awhile to see any difference. In the mean time, back on 10 mg prednisone, Celebrex for body pain and if I can handle it a little gabapentin (it makes me unable to function). My CRP has been raised for a few months (although not the esr) and I suppose that was a signal. If you have tried rituxan how long did you wait for any change? When I started Imuran in 2004 it took 3 to 3.5 months to kick in, but when it did I really felt pretty normal. Wish I could still take it, but after 8 years it caused liver enzymes to rise. Trying to stay positive.
