Has acupuncture helped any of you with eye dryness?
If so- where did they stick the needles?
I have tried acupuncture and it just made me worse in all respects.
Then again, they didn't stick the needles anywhere near my face at all
which seemed wrong to me.
Ouch... I do acupuncture and it has been awesome... But I would not let them put needles in my face! That's just me! 8)
My new Duke Advanced Pain Therapeutics Pain Doctor (ok not adding all that APT stuff again), asked me if I had tried Acupuncture for pain. i told him that since I don't 'believe' in acupuncture, I doubt if it would 'work'. He immediately dropped the topic and moved along.
I'm curious about acupuncture, of course. But really, I'm already having relief from pain from the Low Dose Naltrexone, and I'm only just at 1 mg a day. Can't imagine what 4 mg will be like. Maybe I will throw down my crutches and walk? Seriously, I woke up feeling better this morning than I have in years.

i made acupuncture many times and it worked for pain and other things. it can be antiinflammatory so it could work also for eyes, last time it was two years ago and i think i remember it worked a little for saliva. eyes usually are not my main problem.do not be afraid, if they put needles on your face it will be on the nose or between eyes and its not terrible. i dont like when they put on my head but its bearable
OK .. those locations would be OK with me. I would trust my practitioner to do it right.
Carolina .. I spent 8-9 months in physical therapy for shoulder pain. It was an inflamed muscle that runs from the neck down into the arm. Finally, I threw in the towel and found another acupuncturist. (I used to have one and she was fabulous.. but she moved) I have to drive 40 miles to see this guy and he is worth it.
On my fourth session with him, BINGO, the pain was relieved. It was a shock to not have pain there, which had been bothering me off and on for about 4 years.
I continue to see him twice a month now. He's amazing .. he also does chiropractic. I like his office because he does not push products on anyone, no fragrances in the office, he's just there to help.
You know that in China, they use acupuncture for surgical pain, right? It's been around for 3,000 years or so.
